Born in Kars in 1961, Gördüren completed her primary, secondary and high school education in Kars. Between 1990 and 2000, she attended the traditional hand embroidery courses of Hakime Bilgioğlu and Suzan Çelikkaleli at Izmir Küçükyalı Pratik Kız Sanat Okulu (Izmir Küçükyalı Girls Applied Arts School). In 2009, Gördüren started to teach various types of Turkish embroidery at Karabağlar Public Education Center, where she started to work as a master instructor. She also worked at Konak and Balçova Public Education Centers and took part in various exhibitions. In 2012, Gördüren obtained master and master instructor certificates on Handicraft Technology - Hand and Machine Embroidery at Bornova Vocational Training Center and thus continued to train new students. She was featured in Assist. Emine Odabaşı’s doctoral thesis titled Ustalarla Atölye (Workshop with Masters) in 2015 at Hacı Bayram Veli University, and in Ezgi Ozan's thesis in 2018 at Yaşar University. In 2017, Gördüren was awarded the title of Intangible Cultural Heritage Bearer by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the field of embroidery. In 2020, she was featured in the digital book project titled Benim Sanat Hikâyem (My Art Story) by the Cultural Research Foundation, which featured 40 traditional Turkish handicraft artists living in Izmir. Gördüren, who has taken part in various art festivals and whose artworks have been featured in many magazines, continues to work as a master instructor at Karabağlar Public Education Center.
