Ahmet Nihat Togay was born in Istanbul in 1952. He received training from his father and his master Hasan Togay, and worked as a craft supervisor at Gorbon Işıl Art Workshop for one year. He opened his own workshop in Beykoz in 1990, and produced pots for ten years. In 2000, he moved his pottery workshop to Göksu. Togay, who continued his profession in Göksu Pottery Workshop, passed away on 29.07.2020.
