Rabia Mütevelli was born in Kastamonu in 1988. She graduated from Sakarya University Fine Arts Faculty Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Illumination Department in 2012. Mütevelli continued her education at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Institute of Fine Arts Bookbinding Program in 2014, and still works on her thesis study.

She received her marbling license from Ahmet Sacit Açıkgözoğlu, and participated in various exhibitions, workshops and symposiums both at home and abroad. Mütevelli won first prize in classical branch in Gül Diyarında (means ‘in the land of roses’) Marbling Competition, and third prize in the Masters of the Future Competition organized in 2015. She continues her artistic studies, and works as a master instructor at İSMEK.
