Aylin Eda Durak was born in Istanbul in 1967. She did her undergraduate studies at Istanbul Unviersity Faculty of Letters, Arabic Language and Literature Deparment in 1988, and continues her graduate studies at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Traditional Arts Illumination Department. Durak received illumination training from Mamure Öz in 2006, and reinforced her training with the classes she took at various institutions between 2009-2011. She took miniature classes from Taner Alakuş between 2011-2013 and from Berrin Çakıngüç at Bağlarbaşı Specialization Center in 2014. She participated in various exhibitions and held personal exhibitions. Durak still gives classes at her own workshop at the Public Education Center in Ayvalık/Balıkesir.
