Esma Sakin was born in Kozan in 1968. She completed her undergraduate and graduate education at Marmara University Technical Education Faculty Textile Department. She started her illumination training in 2008, and continued it along with her miniature and oil painting trainings. Sakin opened three personal exhibitions, and her works were exhibited in many group exhibitions both at home and abroad. Her “Bursa” themed work was used as the logo at BUSMEK exhibition poster and invitation in 2015. Sakin takes illumination classes at Topkapı Palace Workshop and İSMEK Bağlarbaşı Specialization School from Serap Bostancı Tuluk, and continues her works.
