 Fatma Hande Topbaş was born in Istanbul in 1971. She studied Behavioral Sciences at Newport University. Topbaş attended Nilüfer Kurfeyz’s summer course when she was eleven, and received illumination training from Nilüfer Kurfeyz and Zehra Durmuş for fifteen years. With the approval of her teachers, she started giving illumination classes, and participated in two exhibitions at IRCICA. Topbaş worked for Albaraka Collection with the nickname “Hande Berra” at first and then with her real name. She produced works and worked as an advisor at Kalemin Secdesi Exhibition. Neslihan Gülbahar Ekinci, Zeynep Dursun, Zeynep Peker, Ayşegül Yasin, Kübra Çizmeci and Gülsüm Pendar are some of the students Topbaş trained.
