 Neslihan Duran was born in Istanbul in 1976. In 2001, she graduated from the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Eastern Mediterranean University Faculty of Science and Letters. She attended to the illumination courses opened by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Bursa in 2004. She reinforced her illumination training with the classes she took from Serap Bostancı Tuluk between 2005 and 2006. Duran started taking illumination classes from Khattat-Illuminatior Muhammed Mağ in 2008, and received her license in 2014. Duran received an award in Classical Turkish Islamic Arts field, within the scope of ESKADER 2016 Culture and Arts Awards. She participated in many exhibitions in Turkey. Duran continues her works and gives classes in Bab-ı Nun Traditional Arts Workshop and Culture Association.
