Sevgi İrteş Yoldaş was born in Istanbul in 1981. She graduated from Yildiz Technical University Department of Environmental Engineering in 2004, and completed her graduate studies at the same department in 2007. Yoldaş received illumination training from M. Semih İrteş and Mamure Öz at the Turkish Decorative Arts Courses opened at Topkapı Palace, and carried out studies on illumination art at Sema Workshop between 2000-2008. She took illumination and kalem işi specialization classes from Semih İrteş at Nakkaş Decorative Arts Center between 2009-2012. Yoldaş, who participated in various group exhibitions, won first prize in kalem işi branch in the competition organized by the Association of Traditional Arts in 2016. She has been continuing her studies at Üsküder Valide-i Atik Complex Lodge Building Nakkaş Decorative Arts Center since 2008; and giving illumination classes at Küçükçekmece Academy of Traditional Arts since 2013.
