Tuba Asiltürk was born in Çorum in 1981. She graduated from Marmara University Theology Deparment in 2003, and completed her graduate studies at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University Institute of Fine Arts with her thesis titled ‘Zerendud Plates in the Art of Turkish Khatt’. Asiltürk started her illumination training with Necati Sancaktutan in 2000, continued with Nilüfer Kurfeyz and Selim Sağlam at the Classical Turkish Arts Center at Yıldız Palace Şale Kiosk, and received her license there. She participated in various exhibitions in Turkey. Asiltürk produced works in the classical style in the beginning; afterwards, she concentrated on rococo illumination and brought a new insight to the art of illumination.
