Zehra İpek was born in Istanbul in 1980. She graduated from Yildiz Technical University Department of Architecture in 2002. İpek, who currently works as an architect at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, has been studying illumination at Hüseyin-Emel Türkmen Art House for nearly five years. She participated in various exhibitions, and won first prize in illumination branch in the Masters of the Future Traditional Arts Competition organized in 2015.
