Starting in 2004 with painting, Yılmazoğlu switched her artistic studies to traditional Turkish arts in 2013 and graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts, Traditional Turkish Arts Illumination Department as valedictorian in the faculty and department. Yılmazoğlu, who participated in various symposiums and group exhibitions and opened solo exhibitions, worked as a master instructor at Bornova Public Education Center and various institutions. She continues to produce artworks in her workshop at her home.
