Emine Navruz was born in 1981 in Konya. She graduated from Süleyman Demirel University Tourism Guidance Department in 2002. However, due to her interest in art, she started to take illuminated manuscript lessons from instructors such as Hatice Aksu, Semih İrteş and Mamure Öz in the same year. Illuminated manuscript as a branch opened the doors to miniature for her. She started to work on miniature with Taner Alakuş and Raif Aydın in 2011. The artist, who uses humorous figures in her works and makes fictions by establishing a connection with music, was awarded the achievement award with her work called “Nâğme-i Istanbul” in the 18th State Turkish Decorative Arts Miniature branch of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2015. In 2018, she opened her first solo exhibition titled “Without Caesura”. Emine Navruz, who still teaches miniature lessons at Küçükçekmece Traditional Arts Academy, continues her different searches and excitement.
