Hakkı T. Bora was born in Manisa in 1945. He graduated from the Air Force Academy. After his retirement from his profession, Bora received miniature training, and in 1994, he took illumination classes from Meral Aşan. Bora, who continued his miniature training with Taner Alakuş, participated in various group exhibitions. He won honorable mention in the miniature category in Classical Arts Competition held within the context of “2007 Mevlana Year”, and second prize in the miniature category at the Classical Arts Competition held by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 2010. His works were selected in the contests of the Istanbul Classical Arts Foundation and included in prestige books. The artist's miniatures were also exhibited in the 16th, 17th. and 18th State Turkish Decorative Arts Competitions.
