Selma Büte was born in 1960. She is a graduate of Mithat Paşa Anadolu Technical High School Painting Department. Büte is a retired designer of Yıldız Porcelain. She gave illumination and miniature classes at the National Palaces Training Unit. Büte continues her miniature studies at Taner Alakuş Miniature Workshop.
