Sevil Alpaydın was born in Malatya in 1942. She is a graduate of Malatya Girls’ Institute. Alpaydın learnt the art with her own efforts; did miniature, portrait and pattern studies on silk cloth and linen. She participated in many personal and group exhibitions both at home and abroad. Alpaydın has been giving classes at her workshop for more than twenty years.
