Şeyma Özlü was born in 1982 in Istanbul. She started working on miniature and illumination in 2004, took miniature classes from Meral Aşan, Orhan Dağlı, Dilek Yerlikaya and Berrin Çakin Güç; illumination classes from Nilüfer Kurfeyz and Selim Sağlam. Özlü, who participated in many group exhibitions, won an award in miniature branch with her work themed “Spice Bazaar” in the “Face of Istanbul” competition organized by the Classical Turkish Arts Foundation. She also won an encouragement award in Meram Miniature Competition organized in 2017 by Konya Meram Municipality. Özlü continues taking classes and producing works.
