Türkân Ekinci was born in Bremerhaven in 1966. She studied at Anadolu University Social Sciences. Ekinci retired from banking in 2010. She worked on marbling and illumination for two years, and started working on the art of miniature afterwards. Ekinci took classes from Leyla Arlı, Gülçin Anmaç, Ayşe Tak and Berrin Çakin Güç. She has been participating in various group exhibitions since 2010.
