Yasin Urhan was born in Kütahya in 1980. He completed his undergraduate studies at Marmara University Faculty of Science and Letters Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 2002; and his graduate studies at Selçuk University Institute of Social Sciences Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 2003. Urhan continues his graduate studies at Selçuk University Institute of Social Sciences Department of Traditional Turkish Arts. He has been working as a Turkish Language and Literature teacher in public schools since 2003. He started taking miniature and illumination classes from Ersan Perçem at Destegül Fine Arts School in 2009, and received his miniature license in 2014. Urhan, who participated in many group exhibitions, won first prize in Zamana Dair (means ‘about time’) Miniature Competition organized in 2015 within the scope of Time in Islam Civilization International Symposium. He continues his illumination studies with Ersan Perçem.
