Asiye Çinemre was born in Akçaabat, Trabzon in 1972. She completed her primary and secondary education in Akçaabat. After getting married, she settled in Istanbul due to her husband’s duty. She received marbling training from Çiğdem Ertem in İSMEK between 2007-2010. Between 2010 and 2013, she graduated from the Classical Turkish Arts Foundation with a marbling education from A. Mahmut Peşteli. At her graduation, her master Mahmut Peşteli gave her the marbling license. In 2013, She received the Intangible Cultural Heritage Carrier Card from Ministry of Culture. She graduated from Anadolu University with a Public Administration degree and completed KTÜ Trabzon Vocational School of Traditional Handicrafts as the first place. She participated in integrated exhibitions organized by İSMEK, KTSV and İKSM. In 2015, she received the exhibition award at the 18th Turkish Decorative Arts Competition of the Ministry of Culture for her work titled as “Stylized Istanbul Tulip”. She still gives marbling and leather bag making courses at Tuzla HEM. She also gives private marbling lessons. With the appointment of the Ministry of Culture, she went to South Korea to promote the art of marbling, representing our country.
