Halide Dursun was born in 1978 in Erzincan. She completed her education in Istanbul and worked as a chemistry technician for thirteen years in a private company. She continued her marbling studies, which she started with İsmail Dündar at Eyüp Caferağa Madrassah in 2001, and received her marbling license from İsmail Dündar and Fuat Başar. In 2009, she started taking basic tile classes from Tile Artist Özkan Tokaç and continued her tile training with the classes she took from Tile Artist Fatma Şan and Sevim Ersoy. Dursun, who participated in many group exhibitions both at home and abroad, acquired her Artist Presentation Card given by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2010. Dursun still continues her tile works, and she does illumination studies with Jale Yavuz at Istanbul University Decorative Arts Workshop. The artist still teaches in the public education centers as master marbling instructor.
