Selat Metin was born in Istanbul in 1978. After graduating from Istanbul University Department of Mathematics in 2001, he completed his master’s degree at Marmara University Business Administration Department Graduate Program in 2003. Metin, who took marbling classes from Hikmet Barutçugil, graduated from TBMM Department of National Palaces Yıldız Palace Marbling Department. He participated in many group exhibitions both at home and abroad. Metin also does studies on the art of calligraphy, and continues his works and training students at his own workshop.
