Didem Memiş was born in 1974 in Trabzon, Türkiye. She graduated from Anadolu University, Faculty of Business Administration, and received an associate degree in Cultural Heritage and Tourism from Istanbul University in 2021. She began her training in the art of marbling (Ebru) in 2015 at İSMEK under the guidance of Ayten Hızır. In 2016, she participated in the 6th World Ebru Congress, marking her first international artistic event. She later took part in various exhibitions and festivals and held her first solo exhibition in 2023. In 2019, she received traditional felt-making training from Emel Oğuz at the Beylerbeyi Maturation Institute. She currently continues her artistic practice in her studio in Bahçelievler, Istanbul, working both independently and in collaboration with her mentors. She is married and has one child.
