Sevgi Bozkurt was born in Ankara in 1975. She is a graduate of Atatürk University Faculty of Science and Literature, Department of Chemistry. Bozkurt was introduced to the art of marbling in 2007. She works as a chemistry teacher and has been opening marbling courses at the school she works in since 2011. Bozkurt still continues taking marbling and illumination classes at the Culture House within Kocaeli University.
