Yasemin Çömlekçioğlu was born in 1975 in Sakarya, Türkiye. She graduated from the Department of Public Relations at Sakarya University of Applied Sciences. She began practicing the art of ebru (Turkish marbling) in 2012 at the Sakarya Traditional Arts Specialization Center. After receiving training from Şükran Aydın and Mahmut Peşteli, she continued her studies with İlker Selimler, from whom she also received her certification (icazet) in ebru art. Recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye as a bearer of Intangible Cultural Heritage, the artist has taken part in numerous national and international exhibitions and art events. Çömlekçioğlu continues her work in her own studio located in the Sapanca district of Sakarya, preserving the deep-rooted tradition of Turkish Ebru art while carrying it into the future through her personal interpretations.
