Abdulhamit Yilmaz was born in 1979 in Erzurum. In 2003, he graduated from Atatürk University, Fine Arts Faculty, Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Illumination Department. He gave illumination, miniature and tile lessons at various institutions. In 2011, he started his master’s degree at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University. Yılmaz participated in many exhibitions both at home and abroad, and some of his works are in private collections. Yilmaz is still practicing the art of illumination at Fatih district of Istanbul and he is continuing his restoration works of old artefacts.
