Cemile Baybura was born in Istanbul in 1964. She did her undergraduate studies at Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Department and her graduate studies at Trakya University Restoration Department. Baybura took part in the hand-carved restorations of Yıldız Palace Şale Kiosk and Dolmabahçe Palace between 1987-1989. She has been giving classes at the Turkish Cultural Service Foudnation and at Cafer Ağa Madrassah since 1993.
