 Gülsüm Gügercin was born in Germany in 1976. She took illumination classes from Necati Sancaktutan at Altunizade Cultural Center between 1995-2000. Gügercin won second prize in 2008 and fifth prize in 2009 in el-Burde International Illumination Competition.
