Gülümser Sarıalioğlu was born in Trabzon in 1967. She is a graduate of Istanbul University Department of Economics. She started her illumination and miniature training with the classes she took from Sabriye Şeker in 2002, and received her license from Şeker. Sarıalioğlu participated in various exhibitions both at home and abroad. She still gives miniature classes at Şeker Art House and Bakırköy Municipality Traditional Arts Center, she also continues her artistic works. Some of the students Şeker trained are Güler Ulaş, Hacer Uğurcan, Münevver Gürbüz, Ayşe Nesrin Aras, Dilek Varna, Yasemin Şeker, Esra Koyuncu and Fatma Şendoğan.
