Mine Ayık was born in Sivas in 1955. She started working on traditional arts in 2005, and took illumination classes from Reyhan Erol, miniature classes from Özcan Özcan, marbling classes from Neliman Özkarasu and khatt classes from Halil Özkan. Ayık worked as a miniature instructor in Balıkesir Public education center and in BALMEK, and participated in many projects and group exhibitions. She held two personal exhibitions. Tuğba Çelikkol and Şeyma Nergis Kuru are the students she trained.
