Şifa Toptaş was born in 1981 in Istanbul. She started her illumination training with Serap Bostancı, and developed herself in the art with the classes she took from Semih İrteş, Mamur Öz, Sabiha Koç and Arzu Uzunosmanoğlu. She continued her studies with Miniature and Flower Painting Teacher Orhan Dağlı, and received her license from him. Toptaş gave illumination classes at İSMEK for four years, and at Birlik Foundation for five years. She participated in many group exhibitions, and continues her works. Some of the students she trained are Hacer Biçer, Seda Gül and Hatice Gül.
