Süheyla Gönen was born in Isparta in 1981. She graduated from Marmara University Theology Faculty in 2003; and completed her master’s degree at Ahmet Yesevi University, Department of Educational Administration and Supervision. She received illumination training from Saime Rikkat Çelebi for one year, and from Ayşenur Kadakçı Velioğlu at Istanbul Classical Arts Foundation for two and a half years. She has been continuing her studies with Ayten Tiryaki since 2015. She took basic art training classes for one year, and marbling classes for two years from İsmail Hakkı Gurbetçi. Gönen attended to the Islamic Arts Geometric Patterns Specialization Program organized by Serap Ekizler Sönmez at the Association of Scientific Studies (İLEM) in the spring period of 2017. Gönen still continues her artistic works.
