Sümeyye Akyol was born in Istanbul in 1985. She started her illumination training with Mustafa Çelebi in 1997, and continued her studies with Ayşenur Kadakçı Velioğlu. Akyol participated in various exhibitions, some of her works are in “The Face of Istanbul” and “Safahat” projects organized by the Classical Turkish Arts Foundation. She won prizes in many competitions. Akyol still works as the assistant of her master Velioğlu’s.
