Tülin Gönültaş was born in Istanbul in 1958. She is a graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Economics. Gönültaş received illumination and miniature training from Cahide Keskiner for four years starting from 1994. She studied tile with Betül Özey and Levent Kum between 2007-2010. Gönültaş has been giving illumination, miniature and tile classes at the workshop she founded in 2003 named ‘Istanbul Workshop’. Ayşen Pamukoğlu, Banu Erdem, Nurhayat Kaya, Nilüfer Başokutan, Leyla Aybar, Tülin Karacaalp, Levent Gökkuş and Seda Emrebak are some of the students she trained.
