Yelda Tezölçer was born in 1971. She is a graduate of Pertevniyal High School. She received training at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Topkapı Palace Museum Traditional Turkish Decorative Arts Department for two years, starting from 1989, and attended the workshops of Semih İrteş and Mamure Öz at Sema Workshop between 1991 and 2000. She worked at Konya Destegül Fine Arts Center between 1997 and 2006; she also worked as an instructor at the illumination – miniature course she opened at Istanbul Orhan Kemal Provincial Public Library between 1996-2009. Tezölçer has been doing ceramics and tile studies in Çanakkale, has participated in many exhibitions, and won an award in tile branch in the Ministry of Culture 9th Turkish Decorative Arts Competition, and took part in Anadolu Hayat One Master One Thousand Masters Tile Project. She still works as a master instructor at Çanakkale Public Education Center.
