Zehra Dumlupınar was born in Istanbul in 1983. She graduated from Sakarya University Theology Faculty in 2005. She completed Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences Islamic History and Arts Graduate Program in 2008 with her study titled “Decorations of Tile Tablets of Yeni Vâlide Mosque”, and completed her Ph.D. in the same field with her study titled “Deisgns of the 17^th Century Tile Panels of Topkapı Palace Harem Department” in 2015. She continues her illumination training, which she started with Dr. Gülnur Duran at Kubbealtı Culture and Art Foundation in 2007, with the private classes she takes.
