Zeynep Alp Çehreli was born in Istanbul in 1944. After graduating from Robert College, she did her graduate studies in England. Çehreli carried out studies on painting and wood painting at the workshop she founded with Kerim Özerdim named ‘Ank Workshop’, and gave classes there. She started taking illumination classes from Melek Antel in 2000, and has been continuing her studies with Süreyya Alper since 2009.
