Zeynep Bartın was born in Istanbul in 1980. She is a graduate of Eyüp Imam Hatip High School. Bartın took khatt classes from Yusuf Sezer between 1998-2002. She started her illumination training with Emel Türkmen at Fatih Municipality Edirnekapı Mihrimah Sultan Mosque Complex in 2000, continued her studies at İSMEK after 2004, and received her license in 2008. Bartın participated in various exhibitions both at home and abroad, her works are in private collections. She won second prize with her work “Miraç” in the Turkish-Islamic Arts Branch Competition themed “ROSE” organized by İSMEK in 2006 within the context of Holy Birth Week, and exhibition prize with her work titled “Mevlana Coin” in the Turkish-Islamic Arts Branch Competition themed “Mevlana - Love, Respect, Tolerence” organized in Istanbul within the context of 2007 Mevlana Year. She continues her illumination studies.
