Merve Araslı was born in Istanbul in 1983. During her education in Materials Science and Engineering at Eskişehir Anadolu University, she attended glass making techniques and free glass shaping lessons at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the same university. After graduation, while studying sculpture from Yunus Tonkuş, she worked as a barter in the Glass Furnace Foundation. Then after that she received apprenticeship and design training at Novy Boron Glass School. She continues to work in her own brand, 1200 Degrees Glass Workshop, which she established after her experience at Yakamoz Glass Factory and Fahri Kaplan Glass Workshop.
