Neslihan Avcı, born in 1962, started her tailoring training in 1979, and continued with the flower – cloths dyeing and furnishing training she received at Bakırköy Girls’ Vocational High School. She was introduced to the art of patchworking afterwards, and received patchworking training from many instructors. Avcı, who participated in various group exhibitions, won second prize in a competition organized by İSMEK. She has been working as a patchworking master instructorat İSMEK since 2004.
