Asiye Şatır was born in 1968 in Trabzon. She is educated in evening art schools and public education centers. She started to work as a master instructor in cloths dyeing, point lace, jewelry design, glass decoration and wood carving. Şatır took part in various festivals and exhibitions and trained many students. Şatır works in İSMEK in handicraft as a master instructor since 2004.
