Ayşe Onat was born in Istanbul in 1968. She is a graduate of Anadolu University Business Administration Faculty. Onat started taking khatt classes from Hüseyin Kutlu in 1996, and received her license from Kutlu in 2005. She continues writing in jali thuluth, thuluth and naskh styles according to the classical understanding.
