He was born in 1977 in Çubuk, Ankara. He completed primary school in his village, secondary school and high school in Çubuk Imam Hatip High School. He won Uludağ University Faculty of Theology in 1995 and graduated from there in 2000. He became interested in the art of calligraphy during his faculty years and continued the calligraphy courses opened by the Ministry of Culture. After attending various courses, in 2003, he studied thuluth-naskh by the calligrapher Kadir Sakoğlu in Ankara for three and a half years. In 2007, he settled in Istanbul and met the calligrapher Ferhat Kurlu and resumed his thuluth-naskh practice. He received his sulus-nesih license from the calligrapher Ferhat Kurlu in a ceremony held in IRCICA in November 2010. He is still participating the lessons of his instructor Ferhat Kurlu. He gave calligraphy lessons as a master instructor at İSMEK for a while. His works are included in various collections. He continues his studies in his workshop. He teaches and gives calligraphy lessons on Sundays in Ümraniye Craftsmen Bazaar. At the same time, he gives calligraphy lessons at the Department of Classical Arts in Üsküdar Hakkı Demir Anatolian Imam Hatip High School (which is a project school).
