Büşra Karakaya, born in 1987, graduated from Selçuk University, Department of Flower Knitting Weaving Teaching in 2008. In the same year, Karakaya started to work at Mehmet Girgiç Workshop. She completed her master's thesis at Institute of Social Sciences of Selçuk University with her study titled "A Study on Felting of Wool Obtained from Konya Region". She participated in exhibitions in many cities of Germany with the project "Lifelong Interaction in Art Education" and held a felt workshop in Textile Art Berlin. She instructed in production workshop lessons of 4^th grade students in Selcuk University Flower Knitting Weaving Teaching Department, and worked on felt production with her students. Karakaya has been working in Göçebeler İpek ve Keçe (Göçebeler Silk and Felt) in Bursa since 2015.
