Filiz Gocuk was born in Bursa in 1985. She is a graduate of Uludağ University Social Sciences Vocational High School. She trained felt mastery with her grandfather and her uncle. Since 2004, she has consulted with various felt masters by goint to places like Konya, Balikesir, Şanlıurfa and Isparta. Gocuk, who continues her distinctive works such as carpets, shawls, hats, vests, paintings at her workshop, still teaches in felt branch in Bursa Yıldırım Public Education Center.
