Gülay Bilge was born in Konya in 1952. She is a graduate of Akdeniz University Fine Arts Faculty Traditional Handicrafts Department. She gave traditional felt-making classes at various public education centers. Bilge participated in many personal and group exhibitions and in festivals abroad. Some of the students she trained are Gülsen Zengin, Jale Seviner and Şenay Nasuf.
