AMANJANI was born in Iran in 1974, and graduated from Art University, Textile Design Department in Tehran in 1999. She received her Turkish language certificate from TÖMER in 2003. She graduated from Marmara University, Fine Arts Faculty, Textile Arts Department in 2006. She prepared her master’s thesis titled Tarihsel Süreç İçinde Batik (Batik in the Context of Historical Process). She has been continuing her academic studies of proficiency of art in the same department since 2009 with thesis titled 'İkat' And Its Contemporary Application As A Solution Dyeing-Designing Technique. In 1999, she opened a tapestry and painting exhibition in the culture department of the Turkish Consulate in Tehran. She attended the felt workshop held at Marmara University, Fine Arts Faculty in 2011. She participated in the exhibition opened at the IFAS-International Fine Arts Symposium- organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts of Selçuk University in 2011 with two artworks. In 2012, she participated in the First International Fashion and Textile Design Symposium with a paper titled Development Of a Traditional Technique as a Creative Method in Textile Design and its Authentic Applications. With her ikat artwork, she participated in the exhibition, and the “ikat” workshop at the 1st International Istanbul Textile Art-Design Symposium on 17-20 October 2012. She won the special award with her weaving work in the competition organized by UTIP in 2013-2014. Her artworks were presented in Yıldız Palace City Museum, Home&Tex Fair, Bursa Old Merino Factory Museum, Denizli and Cappadocia as part of the weaving team in Prof. Günay Atalayer’s project called “Dokumaca”. Amanjani currently resides in Istanbul.
