DİREK was born in 1997 in Şişli, Istanbul, completed her primary education at Cemal Artüz Primary School, and graduated from Nişantaşı Rüştü Uzel Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in 2010. She completed her high school internship at a textile company, and started her university education at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Clothing Production Department in 2015. Direk, who learned sewing, embroidery and handicrafts through her “decoration techniques” training in 2016, did her university internship at a private clothing company. Direk’s university education continues with mainly handicrafts and program courses
