ÜREDİ was born in 1958 in Istanbul, and completed her secondary education in Esenler High School in 1975. She received her first two certificates in sewing in 1977 from the Traveling Women’s Course (Gezici Kadın Kursu) organized by the Turkish Ministry of National Education that lasted for 8 months, and in flower making at the 800-hour handicrafts course in 1982. She completed her training and received certificates from ISMEK courses in three more branches: Handicrafts-jewelry, handicrafts technology-decorative cover and cover sewing, and Turkish folk dances. Üredi, who has two daughters, has adopted an understanding of a productive lifestyle, and so continues her patchwork training and patchwork production.
