Fatma Ayran was born in Mersin in 1991. She learnt the art of mother-of-peal inlaying through a master-apprentice relationship. Ayran received illumination training from Hatice Aksu between 2002-2006 and inlaying training from Ahmet Sezen and Salih Balakbabalar between 2006-2009. She took illumination classes from Münevver Ücer and opened her own inlaying workshop in 2010. Ayran, who participated in various exhibitions, received a Ministry of Culture and Tourism Mother-of-Pearl Inlayer Certificate in 2013. She continues her artistic works.
