Sabahattin Çimen was born in Istanbul in 1950. He is a graduate of Haydarpaşa Art Institute. He started working on pearl inlaying, and received his pearl inlaying license from Enis Türk. Çimen, who also received jewelry training from Ayhan Eski, continues his works at his workshop. Some of the students he trained are Nilgün Kadıoğlu and Arife Semahat Çebi.
